Play both in the role of the new Kirin star and the protagonist of the series, Gunvolt, moving from one game to another, while you conquer the numerous stages and bosses from Gunvolt 3.



In the near future, humanity has aroused a new power known as "septima". People with this power became known as "followers" and their number increased constantly as new followers were born.

An organization of these followers, "Eden", tried to ensure their supremacy over the world, just for their ambitions to be thwarted by Gunvolt. However, at the end of countless battles, Gunvolt woke up unwilling to evolve into a new power beyond septima.

Shadow Yakumo, a secret sister organization of the Sumeragi group, eventually learned of the birth of this higher level power. Shadow Yakumo then ordered their fighting priestess Kirin to stop the awakening of Gunvolt, sealing him with her septima, Radiant Fetters.
